PEOPLE can now apply for a new Weapons Licence and Permit to Acquire online.

Kingaroy Police said this meant people could complete applications 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

But licence renewals will still require a personal visit to the local police station.

Information brochures about applying online are also available, covering topics including eligibility requirements, supporting documentation, reasons for your application, safety course information, storage facilities, weapons categories and licence types.

For more information visit police.qld.gov.au/weaponslicensing or pick up brochures at Kingaroy Police Station.
