ADELAIDE'S Jenna Stirn and Joanna Jaede enjoyed a brief return to My Kitchen Rules tonight.
As the most recently eliminated team, the "domestic goddesses" were offered a second chance in tonight's Comeback Kitchen.
But they melted in the heat of judge Colin Fassnidge's kitchen, ousted by the more experienced Mick and Matt and Angela and Melina.
Jaede, 27, said she and Stirn were shocked to learn of Comeback Kitchen, where teams eliminated in the sudden death cook-offs have been battling for a spot back in the competition at Fassnidge's 4Fourteen restaurant.
"I can't tell you the shock I went through that day," she said.
"When we walked into Comeback Kitchen I thought 'oh yeah we're going to see contestants cook and probably have to judge them' but then Colin comes out and goes 'you've got to be given a second chance'. I felt like a kid in a candy store that day.
"When we were eliminated I felt like it was the wrong time and we had so much more to give."
But Jaede said the competition to get back into the MKR finals was even more fierce than in Kitchen HQ.
"It made any challenge, any sudden death cook-off in the original competition look like nothing," she said.
"I'm a pretty hard nut to crack. I don't cry very often but he (Fassnidge) made me cry. I couldn't believe how mean he was. Some of the things he was saying to us I was like 'hold on a minute you can't talk to me that way', but I have a lot of respect for him. I learned more in that one day than I did in the whole competition. His knowledge is absolutely genius."
Despite her second elimination in less than a week, Jaede is looking forward to her opportunities after MKR finishes.
When the show wraps up she plans to launch her own all-natural seasonings range.
"The opportunities are endless," she said.
"I would love an outdoor cooking show one day."
She said they're barracking for anyone except Ashlee and Sophia to win.
My Kitchen Rules continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on Channel 7.
