Beale back training with Rebels after bus incident

WALLABIES star Kurtley Beale returned from his disciplinary suspension and resumed training with the Melbourne Rebels yesterday.

He had been suspended indefinitely after punching teammates Cooper Vuna and captain Gareth Delve on the team's tour of South Africa last month.

It's uncertain if Beale will be in the side to play defending champion, the Chiefs, in Melbourne on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Queensland Reds will try to prevent a hat-trick of shock losses against the Western Force in Perth on Saturday.

The Force upset the second-placed Reds 19-12 in Brisbane last month, while the corresponding game in Perth last season is something the Queenslanders would love to erase from the memory bank, a 45-19 drubbing.

Although the 13th placed Force was hammered 41-7 by the competition-leading ACT Brumbies in Canberra last Saturday, champion Reds halfback Will Genia said there was no way the game would be taken lightly.

"They (the Force) are always a tough proposition to play against in Perth," Genia, who almost joined the WA franchise last year before re-signing for the Reds, said.
