THE Carnival of Flowers just got more colourful with a limited edition souvenir flying off the shelves.

The umbrella has been released just in time for the Garden City's iconic event which kicks off tomorrow.

Event coordinator Kate Scott said the design had proved popular with locals and visitors.

"Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is about being outside enjoying the gardens, parks and urban precincts, so we want to provide everyone with another way they can take a piece of carnival with them," Ms Scott said.

Ms Scott said the umbrella used the carnival brand's creative elements and captured a colourful snapshot of all the aspects of the 10-day program.

A limited supply is available from the Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre and carnival information hubs in the Queens Park Botanic Gardens, Picnic Point and Laurel Bank Park. It costs $25.
