Coast man's perfect response to male & female traffic lights
A SUNSHINE Coast man has posted the perfect response to Victoria's idea of introducing pedestrian traffic lights which feature both men and women.
"The idea is to install traffic lights with female representation, as well as male representation, to help reduce unconscious bias," said Martine Letts - the chief of the influential Committee for Melbourne which successfully lobbied Victoria's state Labor government to bring in the change.
"The aim is to move towards one-to-one male and female representation across the state of Victoria."
Taking to the Sunny Coast Community Board Justin Schmidt posted a photo of a pedestrian crossing sign - which features a mother crossing the road while holding the hand of her child.
"While where at it let's change this sign as well since dads also walk their kids to school," Mr Schmidt posted.
The response from the group was unanimous.
"Good on you mate," Josh McNally commented.
"So true! Such discrimination lol!" wrote Robyn Mulipola.
"Ha ha send this to 7news lol," Shelly Voitty posted.
