Woman in induced coma after jumping from car

A 32-YEAR-old Capricorn Coast woman is in a critical condition following a traffic incident at Lammermoor last night.

At about 10.15pm, the woman jumped from the back seat of the four-wheel drive she was travelling in, with three other women.

As the vehicle slowed down to negotiate a round-a-bout at the intersection with Clayton Road, the woman opened the door and jumped from the car. 

She was transported to Rockhampton Hospital where she was placed in an induced coma, with serious head injuries.

Police investigations are continuing.
