Man injured after crashing into his own house

A NEIGHBOUR rushed to the aid of a Granville man on Friday morning after he accidentally ploughed his car into his own house.

A spokesman from the Maryborough Fire Station said the man's leg was pinned between the car and the house in the incident at about 4.40am.

"The owner was leaving for work," he said.

"He was having some trouble starting his car and has accidentally driven into the house.

"The car was wedged underneath the house, a high-set Queenslander."

The next-door neighbour heard the commotion and helped the man free his leg.

The man was taken to hospital with leg injuries and a tow truck was called in to remove the vehicle.
