Juniors post stellar figures

JUNIOR CRICKET: The St George under 10 team took on Tara at St Patrick's Oval on Saturday.

It was a friendly but competitive game with players showing great improvement in their skills and knowledge of the game.

St George scored the most runs and took 18 wickets, while losing only five of their own wickets.

There was also some great fielding, with four run-outs.

Top scorers in the batting were: (from 4 overs) Tommy Tootell - 30, (from 2 overs) Max Blanch - 12, Hewie Graham - 10, Braydon Bella - 8, Campbell McIntyre - 7 and Lachlan Wilson - 5.

Best bowling figures were: Cameron Graham - 1 maiden, 4 wickets for 5 runs from 2 overs (bowled 3 times and LBW); Lachlan Wilson - 4 for 9 from 2 overs (bowled 3 times and a catch by Hewie Graham); Alistair McKay - 2 for 4 from 3 overs (bowled twice); Hewie Graham - 2 for 6 from 2 overs (caught behind by Alistair McKay and a catch by Campbell McIntyre); Campbell McIntyre - 2 for 9 from 2 overs (bowled twice); and Jett Webster - 1 for 7 from 2 overs (caught by Hewie Graham).
