Man hospitalised after a bar fight

A FIGHT at a Dalby pub left one man in hospital and another in custody.

At 6.14pm Sunday Dalby police were called to a disturbance at the Criterion Hotel.

A Queensland police spokesman alleged a 50-year-old man had been assaulted by a 43-year-old man.

"He had been punched several times causing cuts and bruising to his head,"

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics assessed the 50-year-old man and transported him to the Dalby Hospital for further treatment.

It is alleged the 43-year-old man fled the scene.

Police later intercepted him driving in Orpen St.

The man was taken to the watch house and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and obstructing police.

He was released and will appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on January 20, 2020.
