'Who hit my teenage son?': Mum's desperate plea

A MOTHER has posted a desperate call for witnesses after her 13-year-old son was struck by a car in Maroochydore, leaving him with face and chest injuries.

Lianne Roberts made the plea to Facebook on Tuesday after the collision on Sunday night at about 6.50pm, across the road from the skate park on Alexandra Parade.

"During my state of shock I didn't get the registration number," the mother said. 

"My son has had plastic surgery and is in Lady Cilento Childrens Hospital."

Paramedics reported the boy was in a stable condition when they arrived on the scene.

The boy was reportedly riding a scooter before the crash.
