One dead in hay truck rollover north-west of Toowoomba

UPDATE 6.30PM: Police have confirmed a 26-year-old man was killed after a single-vehicle truck crash north-west of Toowoomba. 

Initial investigations suggest about noon, a truck hauling a trailer loaded with hay was travelling along Yeovil Rd which it failed to negotiate a bend and rolled. 

The man, the sole occupant of the truck, died at the scene. 

The Forensic Crash unit is investigating.

EARLIER 4.30PM: One person has been killed after a truck rollover north-west of Toowoomba.

Emergency services are still at the scene of the fatal incident which was reported about 1.45pm, about 20km south of Taroom.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said a hay truck had rolled and one person was confirmed dead.

The spokeswoman said crews from Wandoan, Taroom and a speciality appliance from Roma were on scene.
