Queensland woman's $500,000 Gold Lotto win

A SHOCKED Gold Coast woman is contemplating an early retirement after discovering she had won more than $500,000 in the weekend's Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The winner was one of eight division one winners across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw, taking home a $519,011 share of the division one prize pool.

A Golden Casket official broke the happy news to the winner, who immediately burst into tears of joy.

"Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God," the Helensvale woman cried.

"Oh goodness gracious me, Thank you so much. I can't believe it."

A regular Lotto player for almost four decades, the woman admitted it was her biggest win.

She said paying off her mortgage would be her first priority, possibly followed by a holiday.

"We have a huge mortgage so this will certainly help!" she said.

"It was a definite worry to me about still having a mortgage when retiring. So maybe I will retire now!"

"You probably get this all the time, but you've made my day!"

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 12-game entry online via thelott.com.

The six winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3717 on Saturday 4 March 2017 were 9, 12, 28, 18, 15 and 34. The supplementary numbers were 1 and 44.

There were eight division one winners nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3717. Each received a division one share of $519,011.07.
