Surveyors may have found landing gear from 9/11 attacks

NEW York police have created a crime scene around an alley where a landing gear believed to be from one of the planes used in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre was found.

The landing gear was found by land surveyors earlier this week wedged in a narrow space between two buildings.

Authorities will now begin searching for human remains in the area three blocks from where the twin towers once stood.

The area is the site of a proposed community centre set to include space for a mosque.
