FOR two-year-old Hanna Soe-Yoshida, every second Friday is yoga Friday.
She sits on the mat with her Active Pathways Early Childhood Centre carer and her friends and runs through some familiar poses.
Yoga instructor Jo Owens, whose daughter attends the centre, has been teaching the children since the beginning of the year.
"It's very play-centric with children crawling and walking around class and having fun imitating animals or mountains or trees," she said.
Mrs Owens said toddler yoga had many benefits for the children, mostly the same as adults.
"It's mostly about getting them moving as kids don't tend to move as much."
She said the classes usually last from about 10 minutes to half-an-hour, depending on the children's attention span on the day and was also of benefit to the carers.
"We'll play music and sometimes they'll go off and then come back when they hear a song they like."
