EMPLOYMENT is the biggest concern of South Burnett voters ahead of the state election on November 25.

In a poll of South Burnett Times readers, out of the 78 respondents 26.9 per cent reported employment as the biggest issue.

This was closely followed by energy and power prices, with 23.1 per cent listing it as a major concern.

About 19 per cent of responders listed health as their number one concern and 11.5 per cent said the environment was their primary concern.

Gun control laws were the biggest issue for 6.4 per cent of responders, while education was a concern for 5.1 per cent.

About 1 per cent of responders listed tree clearing laws, legalising cannabis, increasing vocational education in the region and food security for farmers as their major concerns.

In who they would vote for 32.1 per cent of responders said they would preference One Nation's Douglas Grant first on their ballot paper. 32.1 per cent said they would also preference Labor's Ben Rankin first.

Current LNP MP Deb Frecklington sat at 24.4 per cent of first preference votes, and the Greens' John Harbison sat at 9 per cent.

These results are not scientific and only take in the views of the 78 people who responded to the survey.
